Košice: Ischaemic Heart Disease

In Košice, there were 5,271 deaths from ischaemic heart disease (diseases associated with the blood vessels supplying the heart) over the study period (2000 - 2008).  This figure consists of 2,568 male deaths and 2,703 female deaths and is based on data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic.  The spatial distribution of mortality due to ischaemic heart disease in Košice is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
