Helsinki: Diabetes Mellitus

In Helsinki, there were 481 deaths from diabetes mellitus over the study period (2000 - 2009).  This figure consists of 240 male deaths and 241 female deaths and is based on registry data provided by Statistics Finland.  The spatial distribution of mortality due to diabetes mellitus in Helsinki is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
