Brussels: Transport-related Injuries

In Brussels, there were 129 deaths from transport-related injuries over the study period (2001 - 2004).  This figure consists of 89 male deaths and 40 female deaths and is based on death certificate records linked to Census data.  The spatial distribution of mortality due to transport-related injuries in Brussels is demonstrated in the maps below for men only.  Women have been excluded from this analysis, as female transport-related mortality did not occur in at least 30 percent of Brussels' small areas during the study period.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
