Brussels: Ischaemic Heart Disease

In Brussels, there were 3,565 deaths from ischaemic heart disease (diseases associated with the blood vessels supplying the heart) over the study period (2001 - 2004).  This figure consists of 1,784 male deaths and 1,781 female deaths and is based on death certificate records linked to Census data.  The spatial distribution of mortality due to ischaemic heart disease in Brussels is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
