In Amsterdam, there were 5,603 deaths
from lung cancer over the study period (1996 - 2008). This figure
consists of 3,491 male deaths and 2,112 female deaths and is based on data from
the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (Statistics Netherlands). The
spatial distribution of mortality due to lung cancer in Amsterdam is
