Dr Laura Pallett was invited to contribute a 'Behind the paper' article in Nature Microbiology discussing her recent paper on the role of liver-resident CD8 T cells in patients with hepatitis B. In addition, Professor Mala Maini was one of seven international scientists working on viral hepatitis to have a Snapshot Interview about her career.

World Hepatitis Day aims to raise awareness about the dramatic increase in the number of viral hepatitis deaths. Viral hepatitis is the seventh biggest killer worldwide. World Hepatitis Day takes place on 28 July every year to raise awareness of hepatitis. World Hepatitis Day is one of eight official global public health campaigns marked by the World Health Organisation.
