The lecture examines five papyri from the Jedaniah archive: the correspondence back and forth with Jerusalem and then with the Satrap of Egypt over the rebuilding of the Jewish temple at Elephantine; the instruction on the celebration of Passover at Elephantine; two ostraca on Passover and a dream.
