Colin Shindler

 Colin Shindler is an emeritus professor at SOAS, University of London. He was the first UK professor of Israel Studies and founding chairman of the European Association of Israel Studies. His books include 'Israel and the European Left: Between Solidarity and Delegitimisation' (2012). The lecture will look at the Left’s changing approach to Zionist ideology in post-colonial discourse, non-Jewish Jews and the emergence of anti-Semitic commentary in the electronic media.
