Lorna Wills, 2018/19 studentship

"I feel very privileged to have been chosen for the MSc Population Health Studentship. The financial support has been very useful in helping me to manage the expense of London living so that I am able to dedicate myself fully to my studies and I would strongly recommend applying for this studentship to anyone taking the Population Health course. The course itself has been hugely interesting so far, providing a strong theoretical basis while also having a consistent focus on real-world applications and the realities of work in the field of population health and I have learnt a lot from my colleagues who have a huge range of experiences. I feel that this course will prepare us very well for futures in Population Health and I am very grateful for the assistance that the MSc Population Health Studentship has given me towards that goal."

Sopha Garkov, 2019/20 studentship

"I was honoured to be accepted onto the MSc in Population Health at UCL and to receive the Population Health Studentship last autumn. The programme has helped me to develop the strong knowledge base and skill set needed to undertake research in public health. The studentship has allowed me to focus exclusively on my studies and to take advantage of living in a dynamic, multicultural city. I would highly recommend any future students to spend time and thought applying for the studentship as it is a unique opportunity to understand your strengths and gain support. I have learned a lot from the ideas and experiences of my fellow classmates on the MSc and believe they would all be strong candidates for the studentship. I am grateful that my studies at UCL have built my confidence in academia and I look forward to the opportunities it will bring in the future."
