Join ICCS: 2 position in Deep Learning for Physical Layer Comms

We currently have two positions for Research Fellows for the project: Learning to Communicate: Deep Learning based solutions for the Physical Layer of Machine Type Communications [LeanCom].

We wish to recruit two Research Fellows from 1st October 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter, as part of 24 month research positions.

The successful candidates will work on the recently awarded Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) project: Learning to Communicate: Deep Learning based solutions for the Physical Layer of Machine Type Communications [LeanCom].

This project aims to address the development of 

  1. a communications specific Deep Learning (DL) framework,
  2. DL-inspired PHY solutions and,
  3. proof-of-concept verification of the proposed solutions. In-depth knowledge of signal processing for wireless communications and neural networks would be essential as part of these roles. The successful candidates will be part of UCL’s Institue of Communications and Connected Systems.

The posts are available from 1st October 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter for a period of 24 months, in the first instance. Extension of the duration of the posts may be possible.

Salary:

Grade 7 - £35,328 - £42,701 per annum inc. London Allowance
