Biography
Jiaqian Yang was awarded an MSc from Tsinghua University in 2018 with a thesis project investigating broadband photonic analogue-to-digital converter and microwave photonic radar systems.
After graduation, Jiaqian joined the UCL-Cambridge Centre for Doctoral Training in Integrated Photonic and Electronic Systems, where he is expected to be awarded an MRes from UCL in 2019. His first mini project focused on the high-speed optical transceiver supervised by Prof. Robert Killey and the second on machine learning based on optical processor in collaboration with Optalysys Ltd.
Jiaqian joined the Optical Networks Group at UCL as an MPhil/PhD student in October 2019. He is currently developing nonlinear models and compensation algorithms supervised by Prof. Robert Killey and will investigate ultrawide band optical transmission systems.
