Dr. Fan Liu received the Ph.D. and the BEng. degrees from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, in 2018 and 2013, respectively. He has been a visiting Ph.D. student in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, University College London between 2016 and 2018, where he is currently a Marie Curie Research Fellow.
He was the recipient of the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award of Chinese Institute of Electronics in 2019, and the Marie Curie Individual Fellowship in 2018. He has been named as an Exemplary Reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, the IEEE Transactions on Communications, and the IEEE Communications Letters. He has served as the organizer and Co-Chair of the IEEE ICC 2020 Workshop on Communication and Radar Spectrum Sharing, as well as of the ICASSP 2021 Special Session on Intelligent Sensing and Communications.
He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Communications Letters, a Lead Guest Editor of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC) Special Issue on "Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC)", and a Founding Member of the IEEE Wireless Communications Technical Committee (WTC) Special Interest Group (SIG) on ISAC. He has authored and co-authored more than 50 research papers published in top-tier journals and conferences. His research interests include vehicular network, massive MIMO and mmWave communications, and radar signal processing.
