Sir Robin provided an update on key patent decisions from the last 12 months, while Ilanah reviewed of key decisions of the CJEU in the field of trade mark law.

This event was originally scheduled for March 2020, but was delayed by the Covid pandemic. This year’s virtual event saw a record number of attendees. Along with members of the Singapore Group, the audience included representatives from the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore and the Ministry of Law, academics from the Law Schools of Singapore Management University and National University of Singapore, as well as Hirohito Katsunuma, President of APAA - joining from Japan, together with APAA members from the Malaysian and Australian groups.

APAA Singapore Group President, Winnie Tham, who organised the event said: 'We have so far been hosting this Lecture every year for at least 10 years, and Sir Robin was a guest speaker in 2012. We were really delighted to have him return as a speaker once again, albeit in virtual format.'
