Professional Registration Support
As a proud Employer Champion for the Science Council, UCL is dedicated to supporting technical professionals in achieving professional registration. The Professional Registration Support program is designed to provide comprehensive support through webinars, application development sessions, and financial assistance for the first year of registration.

LLIDER Tech Network
This platform is specifically designed for technical professionals to exchange ideas and knowledge, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. The network will address training and development challenges within the technician community and foster research collaborations between technicians and researchers. TLevels
T Levels are a new two-year vocational qualification, equivalent to 3 A Levels, designed to prepare students for skilled employment or further study. Express your interest in hosting a TLevel placement.
TechMentor

IOSH Managing Safely

Apprenticeships
UCL Apprenticeship opportunities are for those who are either at the start of their careers or want to invest in further developing their skills and knowledge. 3. Fostering Collaborative Environment
Technical Skills Development Hub (TSDH)
The Technical Skills Development Hub (TSDH) is the organisational home of the Technician Commitment at UCL. It supports technical career development, skills management, and the attraction and retention of technical talent. The TSDH aims to develop Technical Professionals within collaborative platforms, creating an environment where they can thrive and continuously develop technical skills to pioneer technology, aligning with UCL’s academic priorities.
Technical Managers Group (TMG)
Comprising of representatives from technical staff, senior management, and UCL Organisational Development, the purpose of the Technical Managers Group (TGM) is to represent the full range of technical roles across the institution and drive forward the implementation of UCL’s Technician Commitment Action Plan. TMG is also a key stakeholder group for the Technical Skills Development Hub.
Research Facilities Managers Group (RFMG)
A peer group to foster collaboration and promote best practices among Technical Professionals who manage Research Technical Platforms and shared core facilities within UCL. Contact: tsdhub@ucl.ac.uk
