Academic Writing Month

Ready to supercharge your writing?

Join the global academic writing challenge this November!

A world-wide academic write-a-thon inspired by National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), Academic Writing Month (AcWriMo) is designed especially for researchers and scholars.Originally hosted by 'PhD2Published' and now embraced by academics across the globe, AcWriMo is all about:

  • Pledging your writing goals
  • Tracking your progress
  • Sharing advice and encouragement

Every year, thousands of researchers like you connect through the #AcWriMo hashtag, exchanging strategies, celebrating wins, and supporting each other's writing journeys. Add your AcWriMo pledge and/or advice to our Padlet board to inspire your fellow researcher community. By posting on this Padlet, you confirm that you understand and accept these terms. You can find out more about using Padlet here.

Spark AcWriMo inspiration!

Writing Training Opportunites

Throughout November, we're offering a range of training sessions and workshops for doctoral researchers and research staff. These opportunities will help you sharpen your skills, stay motivated, and make real progress with your writing.

Whether you're drafting your first article, polishing a thesis chapter, or tackling a peer review, AcWriMo is your chance to write with focus and support.
