Transition to our new supplier Eversheds and their platform Immigr8
30 January 2025
HR Services have been working to standardise and simplify the process for requesting Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) for sponsored workers, ensuring compliance with UKVI requirements. As part of this work, CoS should be requested via our new plaform, Immigr8, from 3 February.
We are pleased to share some exciting news. As you may be aware, we have used Newland Chase and their Immigo portal for requesting Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
From 3 February 2025, we will begin transitioning to a new Compliance partner of choice, Eversheds, and will be using their bespoke platform, Immigr8.
The look and feel of this platform will be very similar to Immigo with some added features.
All new CoS request applications will be processed on Immigr8, while all existing cases will remain on the Newland Chase portal until they are fully closed.
We are delighted to introduce Eversheds along with the new improved platform, which will enhance the University’s compliance with UKVI requirements, streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce institutional risk.
As part of this transition, we have been actively running training sessions:
- 19 December 2024 and 7 January 2025: Training sessions were successfully conducted by Eversheds on compliant CoS packs and documentation. View a recording of the CoS packs and documentation training here.
- 23 and 24 January 2025: Sessions were held to provide training on using the Immigr8 platform. View a recording of the Immig8 platform training here.
Looking ahead, we plan to offer additional general right-to-work training for departments, along with guidance on sponsoring individuals. Details will be provided over the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
- Please note that, to ensure UKVI compliance, a CoS request will not be initiated until all essential pre-requisite documents have been uploaded and then approved by Eversheds. A list of these can be found under Appendix D: Sponsor guidance appendix D: keeping records for sponsorship - GOV.UK
