IT Career Frameworks for professional services staff
16 February 2022
The Organisational Development team is pleased to announce the launch of the IT Career Frameworks for professional services staff at UCL.

Career Frameworks provide staff at UCL with information about a range of roles across a particular service area, including the skills and experiences of staff working in these areas. Each framework has been produced in collaboration with staff across the institution who specialise in the specific service area, to ensure that the information is reflective of the current roles offered at UCL.
The frameworks promote three key ways that staff can develop new skills and experiences in order to progress their career, or have a change in career direction; these are through learning on the job, learning from others, and undertaking formal learning.
Staff are encouraged to plan their career progression and development within UCL, using the career frameworks as a guide to identify potential learning opportunities. They can also be used to improve developmental conversations with line managers, particularly during the induction and appraisal processes.
