UCL Together and volunteering during the pandemic
28 May 2020
Do you have capacity to volunteer your time and expertise in order to support another team at UCL between now and 31 July? Sign up to one of our UCL Together open sessions to find out more about how you can help?
UCL Together was developed to provide support to UCL teams who may be struggling to complete key activities with the resource available to them because of COVID-19. To be able to provide temporary assistance to these teams we need volunteers who can offer their time and expertise.
If you have capacity to support another team, you can let us know by completing a ‘Volunteer inside UCL’ form through UCL Together. We’ll review your skills and availability and do our best to match you with a suitable opportunity from another UCL team.
You can find out more about the initiative and volunteering your time by joining one of our online open sessions. These will take place on the following dates:
- Friday 29 May, 10–10:30am
- Monday 1 June, 11:30–12noon
- Tuesday 2 June, 1–1:30pm
To sign up for a session, email us at UCLTogether@ucl.ac.uk. Remember to let us know which session you would like to attend and we’ll send you an invite.
Please note: Before volunteering please you must discuss this with your line manager to ensure you have the capacity during your normal contracted hours. Unfortunately, if you are currently on furlough leave Government regulations mean you will be unable to volunteer within UCL.
A reminder, if you or your team are struggling to manage activities with the resource you currently have, you may be able to secure additional temporary resource via UCL Together.
Due to ongoing demand we have extended the window of time to request support/volunteer your time to 31 July 2020.
