International Day of Persons with Disabilities

"18th November marked the start of UK Disability History Month, which we are celebrating at UCL.  As an institution we strive to be as inclusive as possible, and to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to participate and contribute – it is at the heart of our culture.

25 years ago it became illegal in the UK for employers to discriminate against someone due to disability, and although progress has been made there is much more to do.  I am a passionate about ensuring that opportunity is available to all and at UCL we are working to ensure that accessibility is embedded into UCL life, and to address the challenges disabled staff and students still face."
