Wellbeing Champions

On 26 July 2017 Karen Smith, Head of Wellbeing, delivered the one day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Higher Education workshop at UCL to the first cohort of Wellbeing Champions. UCL’s first cohort of Wellbeing Champions are Kylie Groves, Gareth Mannall, Rebecca Payne, Denise Hebborn, Jenny Post, Shirley Fantie, Adey Shallow, Hannah Legg, Therasa Smith, Faaiza Bokhari, Deborah Buck and Zara Chaudhry who co-ordinated the training.

Wellbeing Champions receive two days of development, the first focuses on mental health and the second focuses on overall health and wellbeing holistically. This includes details of Making Every Contact Count endorsed by Public Health England, NHS Employers and health inequalities.

For those of you already signed up to become Wellbeing Champions then further training dates will be released soon along with a dedicated resource on Moodle.
