Supported training and development that offers new and existing staff the opportunity to earn while they learn and develop new knowledge, competencies and behaviours in a chosen occupation
16+ - No upper age limit; must be employed in full-time work, a minimum of 30 hours per week
Typically last between 1-4 years with a recognised qualification on completion
UCL offers higher and degree level apprenticeships at institutional, team and individual level
Funded by the UCL Development Levy
Delivered by UCL approved training providers covering programmes in professional services and technical roles
Involve 20% off-the-job learning (study for a work-based qualification during the working week, often at a college, university or another training provider)
New entry-level staff are recruited on a unique apprenticeship pay scale. Existing staff remain on their current salary, grade and contractual terms.
