Information for members of staff who are interested in applying for Accelerate to Leadership.
The application process
When a placement is advertised it will include details on the host department, a placement description and pre-requisite criteria.
If you’re interested in applying, you should discuss the position with your line manager and obtain their approval.
To apply for the placement, you will need to submit a CV and supporting statement outlining your suitability.
If your application meets the pre-requisite criteria, you will be invited to be interviewed.
If more than one employee submits suitable applications, competitive interviews will be undertaken to determine who the placement could be offered to.
If successful at interview, a placement will start on a date to be agreed your current line manager and the placement line manager. Reasonable efforts will be made to release staff to take up a placement.
Please note: Accelerate to Leadership placements are also open to redeployees at their same grade. Redeployees at risk of redundancy will be given priority consideration.
