  • Aspiring Managers Programme, UCL M1: Why Organisations Need To Be Managed

    The UCL Aspiring Managers Programme offers training support for aspiring managers grades 5-6 within UCL with the overall aim of helping them to understand the manager's role and be able to apply key skills. The Programme is designed to focus on the key management skills needed. It will enhance managers and supervisors' performance management capabilities and abilities to use analytical, diagnostic, solution and reflection tools to improve workplace performance. Module 1 of the Programme focuses on why organisations need to be managed. The session will explore: - Traditional management theory - Strategy & the organisation - Purpose & exchange relationships - Efficiency & effectiveness
    Eligibility: Please note that you will need your line managers approval to attend and a £250 contribution from your department. Booking to join the first date of the programme will commit you to attending the entire programme, your place will not be confirmed until payment from your department has been received.
