At UCL History we research and teach ancient, medieval, early modern and modern history across every continent. We are ranked best in London and best in the Russell Group for research power (REF 2021).
On MA History, our flagship programme, students follow one of four pathways: Culture, Ideas, and Identities; Environment, State, and Economy; Empires and Global History; and Modern British History. Our interdisciplinary MA Medieval and Renaissance Studies offers hands-on training with the trove of medieval and Renaissance manuscripts in Bloomsbury. Our intercollegiate MA Ancient History draws on the wealth of work by ancient historians, archaeologists, and classicists from UCL, KCL and Royal Holloway. Historians and practitioners teach our MA Public History in our cutting-edge new campus, UCL East.
