Gavin Bacon

Gavin Bacon is a former solicitor who is now firmly wedded to the study of history. His current interest is in the way pupils were taught about the British Empire between 1950 and 1990 through textbooks and other media, and how that empire is remembered as a result (cf. "Britain can be great again", and other similar claims by politicians).
