Nicolás Camino

Nicolás began the UCL MPhil/Phd programme at UCL in 2019, funded by a doctoral scholarship from the Chilean National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICYT). He did his MA in History at UCL and BA in History with a minor in International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC).

Nicolás’s main research interest is the history of ideas during the early Cold War, especially in Latin America. The objective of his thesis is to analyze the presence of different European philosophical trends and debates in Latin America during the postwar period, with special attention to the ideas that were being formulated in Latin America itself
