Professor Rebecca Jennings (UCL History) speaks on an investigation into the legacy of court decisions separating children from lesbian mums: “Married lesbians didn’t fit easily into the politics that was emerging from lesbian organisations in the 1960s and early 70s, which tended to emphasise independence from men and also a choice not to have children.”
