A-Level Results 2018

Guidance for UCL History applicants receiving their A-level results on 16 August 2018.

Three students, two young women and a young man, open their A-level results envelopes

If you have been offered a place:

Congratulations! Welcome to UCL History. We're looking forward to meeting you in September.

You will receive an email from UCL later in the month inviting you to begin the enrolment process online. In the meantime, you might want to take a look at the UCL New Students webpage, which is full of tips and information to help you prepare for your studies, or the International Student Support pages, for details about orientation for incoming international students. You can also keep an eye on the UCL History home page, which will be updated with more information about our departmental induction programme over the next few weeks.

If you have been offered a place but wish to defer entry until next year:

UCL History is happy to consider requests to defer entry to our undergraduate programmes. In order to do this, you will need to submit a formal request to the admissions team by contacting undergraduate-admissions@ucl.ac.uk, including your UCAS ID, full name, and the reason why you wish to defer. The Admissions team will then update your record and you will need to log into UCAS track to check and accept this change. Please note that they will be very busy over the next few days, so don't panic if you don't hear back from them right away!

If you have not been offered a place:

If you log into your UCAS 'Track' page and find that you have been offered a place at your insurance choice university or placed in Clearing, this means that we have not been able to accept you at UCL History. We will not be able to reconsider this decision. We wish you the best of luck in your future studies.

If you request a re-mark on any of your papers and find that your re-marked exam does allow you to satisfy the conditions of your offer, you should contact the Admissions team by email at undergraduate-admissions@ucl.ac.uk or by phone on +44 (0)20 3370 1215. Your updated result(s) should come through UCAS. Please remember that Admissions will need to have received confirmation of your new grade(s) by 31 August 2018. They will not be able to consider re-marks after this date.

If you have any other questions:

In the first instance, we recommend that you check the UCL Admissions web pages, which provide an FAQ that can answer the most common results day questions. Otherwise, you can contact the admissions team directly on undergraduate-admissions@ucl.ac.uk or by telephone at +44 (0)20 3370 1215.
