The Text, Textual History, and Translation Strategies of Targum Qoheleth

My research is a philological study of Targum Ecclesiastes. In the absence of a critical edition of this text, I will collate the major manuscripts of this Jewish Aramaic Bible translation, including Yemenite, Ashkenazi and Sefardi manuscripts, applying proven selection criteria in Targumic stemmatics to determine which manuscripts are the best representatives of the textual history of the Targum. On the basis of these data, I intend to produce a reliable critical edition of the Targum and will assess the influence of scribal interference with the text.
