The main interest topic will be about point-of-care manufacturing including the use of 3D printing for manufacturing implants, devices and pharmaceuticals
The audience will hear from the experts already operating in point of manufacturing area and will gain an improved understanding of the benefits and challenges of point-of-care manufacturing, including space, sustainability and patient considerations
It will be an opportunity for participants to co-author in a commentary article to be prepared based on notes taken during this event.
Participants will be also invited to brainstorm approaches to take point-of-care manufacturing to the next level by becoming a member of this new community.
This is a joint event hosted by the UCL Institute of Healthcare Engineering (IHE) and the UCL Translational Research Office (TRO).
The TRO is an integral part of UCL’s biomedical research powerhouse. As an expert team of applied scientists and business developers, they support our researchers in realising their translational ambition by offering strategic advice, funding support, and bridging the gap with industry to help establish collaborations that drive the pipeline of therapeutic, device and diagnostic innovations.
