THE SPEAKER
The IHE and the UCL Faculty of Engineering Sciences are delighted to welcome Prof Dame Athene Donald as our next IHE Colloquium speaker. Throughout the course of her prestigious career, Athene Donald has been a vocal advocate for women and diversity in science.
Athene Donald is a Profesor of Experimental Physics at Churchill College, Cambridge. Between 2010-2014, she was Gender Equality Champion for the University of Cambridge. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society, a member of the Science Museum Advisory Board and the Scientific Council of the European Research Council and chairs the Interdisciplinary Advisory Panel for REF2021. She occasionally writes about science for The Guardian.
This talk forms part of our wider initiative to highlight different pathways to success and hear from diverse voices.
