UCL Health of the Public Humanitarian Scenario Event

The event was an opportunity for students from different disciplines and levels of study to come together to learn more about the Health of the Public approach, which brings multiple disciplines together to solve today’s greatest public health challenges.

Throughout the day, students worked together in groups to consider how they would plan a health of the public approach for Yemen in 2023. They were given briefings from experts and practitioners before considering scenarios including how to prioritise those most in need, how to prioritise key health response activities for people on the move, and, finally, how realistically they could deliver in Yemen.

The event was led by Dr Maria Kett (Associate Professor in Humanitarianism and Disability) and Dr Lisa Guppy (Lecturer in Humanitarian Logistics / Crisis Response).
