UCL Health of the Public Small Grants Scheme eligibility criteria.

  • This funding is to be used for developing new cross-disciplinary research collaborations and research activity to improve the health of the public. Activities that could be funded include gathering preliminary data, and pilot research work.

  • Eligible academic researcher collaborations must include a First and Second applicant.
      - First Applicants must be UCL academic staff at postdoctoral level or above (honorary researchers included).
      - Second Applicants must be UCL academic staff at postdoctoral level or above (honorary researchers included), working in a different discipline to the first applicant.

We are particularly keen to see applications from researchers in the School of the Built Environment, Engineering, and Mathematical and Physical Sciences (BEAMS), the School of Laws, Arts and Humanities, and Social and Historical Sciences (SLASH), and the IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society.
  • First and second applicants are equally important, the only difference is that awards will be held in an account in the first applicant's department.

  • The First Applicant's status and period of employment at UCL must enable them to receive UCL Health of the Public funding into an account that will be administered by their department.
