‘Public Health Voices’ is a webinar series, open to all, which aims to engage with and showcase the importance of interdisciplinarity in public health research and training. By working together with multiple disciplines, and in collaboration with local communities, local government, the NHS, the third sector, and industry, we can have a real impact on public health research and practice.

The topics that will be explored in this webinar series illustrate the key themes of our new, innovative online Master of Public Health (MPH) programme: interdisciplinarity, inequalities, citizen voices, practitioner voices, core public health skills, implementation, action, and impact. Find out more about the MPH on our website.

About this event

The social determinants of health are the conditions in which people are born, grow, work, live, and age and people’s access to power, money and resources. Social determinants are the major drivers of health inequities – unfair, avoidable and remediable differences in health between social groups.

A sustained, collaborative approach is needed that reaches across health, social and economic actors, across communities and countries, with health and social justice at its core.

Sign-up for this free webinar to hear from Prof Sir Michael Marmot and European partners as they outline key considerations in tackling the social determinants of health as a matter of social justice.
