Equitable Mobilities’ includes active and inactive travel but also not moving at all (e.g. lingering, using public spaces for social purposes), rather than just the more normal movement-dominated “transport” like cars, buses, and trains. Social cohesion has important consequences for mental, physical and sensory health and wellbeing, and we should be designing our public spaces in a way that recognises this. If you are not yet a member of the Equitable Mobilities community but would like to find out more about it, please visit our webpage or contact Rachel Hall: rachel.hall@ucl.ac.uk if you would like to join the Microsoft Teams site. The community is open to all at UCL that have an interest in this area of research.
We’d be delighted for members across our community to volunteer to present their work at the seminar. We are looking for up to five speakers to present for 5 minutes on their work, the value of working with a multi-disciplinary team and any areas/gaps where you need expertise or additional support.
This would be an opportunity for you to showcase your work, share ideas, build connections and projects within our community.
Please contact Rachel Hall: rachel.hall@ucl.ac.uk by 5 May 2021 if you would like to present your research at the meeting or if you have any other questions about how to join the community.
