Students develop a project looking at an aspect of health data analytics in collaboration with a UCL supervisor and an organisation with the aim of acquiring and analysing data in order to identify potential improvements.
The student will work with the organisation over a period of months to plan the project, supervise the collection of data, lead the analysis and write a report which includes a clear plan for how the benefits are to be realised.
Students will gain practical experience of some of the following:
- collection of healthcare data
- the analysis of healthcare data
- the evaluation of different approaches to the collection
- analysis and presentation of healthcare data
Students will address these in the context of a real organisation and consider how their work can be used to improve the working of the organisation.
