New PhD studentship launched
14 March 2017
Using Public Health Data Science to improve type 2 diabetes morbidity estimates
A full-time PhD studentship funded by Public Health England (PHE), this aims to contribute to the evaluation of two national public health programmes. The first, the NHS Health Check, aims to detect the early signs of conditions like high blood pressure, heart disease or type 2 diabetes and prevent them from occurring. The second, NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme, aims to support people to reduce their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. The work that will be conducted as part of this PhD will improve the data that can be used to evaluate these two interventions and then improve the methods used in such evaluations.
