IHI trainee awarded Health Education England/NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship

Congratulations to Serena Luchenski who was awarded a Health Education England /NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship with the title "Preventing health problems among people experiencing homelessness: a mixed-methods study". The award supports both clinical and research development.  

Serena will be conducting a national assessment of preventive healthcare needs for homeless people using electronic health data and will be augmenting this quantitative approach with qualitative interviews and focus groups with health professionals and people experiencing homelessness. Serena will collaborate with her clinical partner, the Pathway charity, and other stakeholders to produce a prevention toolkit for NHS trusts on the basis of her findings.
