Farr seminar: 'Should we be concerned if society does not understand eHealth?'

Speaker: Maggie Ellis, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)

Maggie has been at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), involved with EU and UK Research Projects since 1999. MonAMI, and SOCIONICAL projects lead to developing a Vulnerable People in the Community Group. Other project work links with a Review of Scottish Government Services. As an Occupational Therapist, she managed physical disability, mental health and learning disability services, has been Chairman of the College of OT (UK), the European OT Committee and a Member of many university and research boards. Other earlier research includes Falls Avoidance. EU and ISO Technical Committee Membership brought wider experience linking user needs with designers, planners and policy makers. Maggie uses this background in her OT Practice at West Square Associates (WSA). Maggie is a Member of the Cross Party Groups for Digital Inclusion and Disability, Holyrood and for Smart Cities and Legal Aid in the UK Parliament.
