Title: ‘TRANSFoRM project-developing the technology for learning health systems’     

Speaker 2: Astrid Guttmann, Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES), Health System Planning & Evaluation Research Program, Canada 

Title: 'Leveraging Linkages of Healthcare and Immigration Data for Health and Social Policy Research'

Astrid Guttmann is a Senior Scientist and the Chief Science Officer at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences, an Associate Professor of Paediatrics and Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto, and a General Paediatrician and Senior Associate Scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children.   She holds an Applied Chair in Child Health Services and Policy Research from the Canadian Institute for Health Research.  Her research interests include health system performance reporting and policy evaluation  related to children and youth, immigrant health, and methods to use large, linked administrative data to inform policy and clinical care.  She sits on a number of policy advisory committees including the Ontario Provincial Council on Maternal and Child Health.
