In collaboration with UCL Careers and UCLU's Green Economy Society, Sustainability Careers Fortnight will expand your knowledge on the business and global challenge elements of the sustainability sector and prepare you for career in the field.  Businesses are looking for graduates who are able to:

  • Analyse real-world situations critically - more and more jobs are global - and an understanding of international issues is vital
  • Demonstrate ethical leadership - increasingly desirable to conscious customers
  • Work within different social contexts
  • Engage with a diverse range of people
  • Use resources and budgets wisely

Why?

FACT: Students with sustainability skills, who have the ability to solve our global challenges are highly employable. Organisations now seek employees across the entire organisation who are sustainability literate - not just in 'sustainability' roles. Whether that’s understanding climate risks in an investment portfolio or Modern Day Slavery issues within recruitment roles.

Our challenge to you…

Inform yourself whist challenging our business representatives at our panel and networking events.  Find out:

  • How do organisations define sustainability?
  • Is CSR just greenwashing or does it make a difference?
  • What skills do I need to be competitive in the sustainability job market?
  • What are the future trends for the energy or construction markets?
  • How is each sector moving towards a sustainable future?

Sustainability is a realistic, varied, interesting and prosperous career path which has many routes in, and isn’t just for geographers! Find out for yourself at one of our events!
