Disability Innovation Prize Workshop
PhD students from UCL and Loughborough University and researchers and PhD students from London College of Fashion, can now apply to attend a two day Disability Innovation Prize Workshop on the week beginning July 10th 2017.
The workshop will explore co-design, collaboration, and innovation that could change the way we think about disability and will be run with the participation of disabled people's organisations, practitioners, academics, NGOs and local community organisations. The workshop will pose challenges and research priorities that PhD student teams will have to propose cross-disciplinary solutions for. All projects must focus on disability directly, ideally across our themes of Inclusive Design, Assistive Tech, Disability Inclusive International Development, CSR, Inclusive Arts & Design, Disability Sport.
The workshop will culminate in the awarding of the Disability Innovation Prize - funding of up to £10,000 that will go to the team (or teams) with the most outstanding and innovative solution. They will be able to use this funding to bring their ideas to life.
The deadline for applications to attend the workshop is Saturday June 10th.
