Decolonising Research Methodologies and Practices at UCL - Call for Proposals

Deadline for applications: Monday 25 November 2024, 17.00 (GMT).

The special initiative seeks to build upon ‘Cultures of Decolonisation of Research at UCL’ to support activities that can advance understanding, adoption, and impact of decolonisation in research initiatives. Project proposals are encouraged to focus on innovative models for decolonising research and research ethics at UCL, with an emphasis on activities that drive engagement and institutional transformation. Proposals should build on the findings from the Cultures of Decolonisation at UCL report and push boundaries in rethinking research practices through a decolonial lens. We particularly welcome proposals from UCL Faculties that have had limited resources for, or engagement with, decolonising research practices in the past.

Applications for projects costing up to £4,000 will be considered under this call. Due to the UCL fiscal year-end, all funding must be spent, and expenses must be identified and invoiced, by 31st July 2025.
