UCL Lancet Lecture 2017 welcomes Liliane Ploumen to speak on reproductive health

16 October 2017

This year's UCL Lancet lecture on global health is pleased to welcome Dutch MP and Foreign Trade and Cooperation Development Minister Liliane Ploumen

This year's lecture takes place on Monday 20 November from 17.00 in Logan Hall in UCL's Institute of Education at 20 Bedford Way.

Liliane Ploumen will speak on sexual and reproductive health, in particular how she came to create the "She Decides" international initiative as a response to President Trump's reinstatement of the "global gag rule" (aka Mexico City policy), which severely limits US aid funding for sexual and reproductive health in some of the world's poorest countries.

Come along for an thought provoking evening on what is currently a hot topic in global health!

The event is free-of-charge but always oversubscribed, so if you wish to attend, please register in advance to avoid disappointment.
