Workshops in Otto Königsberger's Footsteps

In Otto Koeniger's footsteps - workshops to encourage engagement between HEIs and cities for Government of India's Smart Cities Mission Initiative.

The objective of the proposed activity is to enhance the participation of HEIs in the development of "smart cities" in India. The proposed workshops will focus on the role of HEIs in employment generation and skill development, urban planning, spurring of entrepreneurial and innovation activities in cities. The workshops will sensitise and enhance the understanding with in the HEIs and smart cities about the mutual benefit of engaging with each other. By providing policy briefs and a common platform to HEIs and cities, we hope to influence thought leadership and policy development of smart cities in India.
