Grand Challenges Sustainable Cities Small Grants 2017

Awards of up to £4,000 or £6,000 are available for new cross-disciplinary collaborations that address sustainable cities.

Collaborations must involve researchers from different faculties at UCL, and address societally significant problems.

Proposals to the Grand Challenge of Sustainable Cities must address one of our Priority Themes.

Up to £4,000 is available for applications that address:

  • Transformative Cities
  • Future Cities
  • Rethinking Housing
  • Resourcing Cities

Thanks to a collaboration with the UCL Transport Institute, a single enhanced grant of £6,000 is available for applications that address:

  • Urban Mobility

The awards will provide funding from 1 August 2017 to 31 July 2018
