UCL Grand Challenge are hosting an event on Wednesday, November 5th at 6:30pm at UCL’s Bloomsbury Campus for the launch of Professor Lisa Vanhala's (PVP to the Grand Challenge theme of Climate Crisis) new book, Governing the End: The Making of Climate Change Loss and Damage.
Professor Vanhala will be joined by a panel of interdisciplinary colleagues from across academia and policy practice to explore the state of global loss and damage governance today.

Following opening remarks from Professor Marc Stears (Pro-Provost (Policy Engagement) and Director, UCL Policy Lab), Lisa Vanhala will be joined by:
- Professor Mark Pelling, Professor of Risk and Disaster Reduction, UCL
- Dr Nina Hall, Associate Professor of International Relations, Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies
- Dr Birsha Ohdedar, Senior lecturer in Environmental and Climate Change Law, SOAS
- Dr Kasia Paprocki, Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Environment, LSE
- Dr Erin Roberts, Founder and Global Lead, The Loss and Damage Collaboration
