Join Women in Architecture, LDN Collective, Considerate Urbanism, UCL (UCL Public Policy and UCL Grand Challenges), Commonplace and The Building Society, for this special event, where we will be screening a new film based on UCL's report 'Structurally Unsound' followed by a panel discussion and workshop feeding into a Commonplace's digital platform.
The film will feature interviews and personal stories from a diverse group of individuals across London. Following the film, a presentation by UCL will delve into the importance of intersectionality in UK society and their research findings, followed by a panel discussion. The discussion will focus on the understanding of intersectionality, the systemic inequalities that exist and what makes an equitable city.
A facilitated workshop will then be conducted, engaging participants in an experiential and emotional mapping exercise, encouraging them to share their experiences and envision a more equitable future for London.
Postcards reflecting these visions will be mapped according to postcodes and uploaded to a digital map on a dedicated Commonplace platform.
The event will be filmed, capturing additional insights and feedback from attendees for a follow up event.
If you have any questions at hello@wia-uk.org.
The event will open at 6pm for a prompt 6.30pm start.
