This project aims to create the first dataset that allows investigation of the mental health inequalities between gender minority and cisgender emerging and young adults (between 16- and 32-years old) in the UK, as well as variations across other intersectional characteristics, including sexuality and ethnicity. This will inform targeted policy interventions aiming to reduce mental health inequalities between specific populations. The project will provide the foundation for future studies to investigate the underlying potential drivers and mechanisms of this mental health inequality.
