Eclectic Resilience & Trauma Interventions
Co-producing interdisciplinary knowledge on resilience and trauma-informed interventions for children and young people.
1 March 2024
This sandpit event held in May 2024, brought together academics, communities, and stakeholders to co-produce interdisciplinary knowledge on resilience and trauma-informed interventions for children and young people from migrant, refugee, and minority backgrounds and was focused on a series of workshops and talks around childhood resilience in light of migration and displacement. Representatives came from a range of backgrounds and communities.
The event highlighted a need for interdisciplinary research around childhood resilience, drawing on knowledge from the arts, humanities and social sciences. It provided a forum for partner organisations to share their vision, expertise and experience in the area, as well as to draw attention to gaps in research and practice, when it comes to childhood resilience.
Research findings were published in a blog, and immediate outcomes were a strong collaborative research network, aligned with the 'eclectic resilience' hub. Longer term impacts include collaborative bid development for funding calls.
